David Lavallee, Ph.D., is a principal lecturer in the School ofSocial Sciences at the University of Teesside, England, where heteaches courses in psychology and is the director of the Centerfor Sport Performance and Applied Research. His educationalqualifications include a master's degree in psychology fromHarvard University and a doctorate in sport psychology from theUniversity of Western Australia. Dr. Lavallee is also a charteredpsychologist and graduate member of the British PsychologicalSociety. His general area of research and applied interest isin counseling in sport and exercise settings. Currently, Dr. Lavallee serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Personal andInterpersonal Loss (Taylor & Francis) and is a member of theBritish Psychological Society Sport and Exercise PsychologySection Committee. He is a former All-American soccer player. | |
